The Children Foundation
About
The Children's Foundation, established in 1957, is a charitable organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and families facing complex challenges. They offer specialized treatment, counselling, and attentive care to address issues such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD), severe social, emotional, and developmental disorders, disabilities, and trauma-related challenges.
Their mission focuses on helping families heal, building healthy relationships, developing skills and self-confidence in children, meeting essential needs, nurturing caregivers, and promoting success in school. Programs like the Educational Transition Centre provide supported and structured classroom environments to prepare children for reintegration into regular school settings. Additionally, parenting programs such as "Right from the Start," "COPEing with Toddler Behaviour," and "Triple P" are offered to guide and support parents in understanding their children's needs and improving parent-child relationships.
